Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to the details you share when you register for Chapter One (14th October, PVS Mall, Meerut). The event and this website are run by the organisers of Chapter One, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh (“we”).

What we collect

• Exhibitors: name, business or brand name, category, email, mobile number, age, gender and any message you add.
• Visitors: name, email, mobile number, age, gender and, optionally, number of guests.

We ask only for what we need to handle your registration.

How your details reach us

When you press Register, two things happen:

• Your details are saved to our registration list, a Google Sheet that only the organisers can access. Google stores it for us under its own privacy and security terms.
• WhatsApp opens with a message to the organisers containing your details. That message is sent only if you press send yourself. WhatsApp is run by Meta, and its privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.

If you ticked the consent box, we also send you one welcome message on WhatsApp, through the official WhatsApp Business Platform.

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Like every website, the hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.

Why we use it

• To process your registration as an exhibitor or visitor.
• To contact you about the event, starting with a WhatsApp welcome message.
• With your consent (the tick box on the form), to send event notifications by WhatsApp, SMS, email, RCS and similar channels.

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with anyone except as needed to run the event or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep registration details only as long as needed for Chapter One and its follow-up, and delete them once that purpose is served, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your choices and rights

• You can withdraw your consent to notifications at any time. Withdrawing is as easy as giving it: just tell us on WhatsApp or Instagram.
• You can ask what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them.
• You can raise a complaint with us, and if we do not resolve it, with the Data Protection Board of India.

If you are under 18, please register with the help of a parent or guardian.
